| This previous Saturday was lousy because Raccoon was cranky and tired all day >:O We went to a million places and most, such as the Museum of Vancouver, weren't as good as expected.
Yesterday we saw another doll exhibit after work (for me) / before work (for him), and it was infinitely better. Then I made a beaded frog for Raccoon <3 Because even though it is in poor taste to even hold hands in front of friends (who cares about strangers), or to say anything flattering about him (hahah), Raccoon is so clearly the best. And this is the only time I'm going to admit this hahaha.
He is so far above all the dull / vain / insecure / cheating / stealing / smelly / simply idiotic people in the world that there's no point in considering anyone else... unless they are beautiful like the sun sea. XP
It has been a good week and in three days we're off!!
| After getting back on a day shift, I could stay awake long enough to finish "Middlemarch". The conclusion seems a rush, really, but the Dorothea-Rosamond (Rosamund?) scene was so moving it is all worth it.
Started reading "Lord of the Rings" (I) hahah.

I now earn enough to ask my cousin to ship my giant polar bears (one giant polar bear holding a normal-sized polar bear holding a tiny polar bear) over. They were one of the last gifts from my dad and I wasn't allowed to bring them over in 1997. My cousin said he "discussed it" with his mom and decided it wouldn't be "worth it" to ship them, because customs (which do not apply to toys, but otherwise would be paid on this end anyway) and insurance (which I didn't request) alone would cost "thousands of TW dollars" that I'd be paying. WTF.

On Wednesday (?), Raccoon got me the biggest and one of the smaller Sumi mascots. :DDD He named the enormous one Bigzilla and the small one Timbit.
On Saturday we went to one last Cultural Olympiad event -- the Olympics stuff and doll exhibit at Canada's Northern House. The First Nations things were neat, and I got the doll catalog. :] We built inukshuks and... it's harder than it looks. Got lost looking for a new place and went to Murchie's for tea again. The quiche was DELICIOUS. If red and green peppers always tasted like that, I'd eat them everyday instead of NEVER. @@
Then we went to some park which name I can't remember, and took pictures of the cherry blossoms. I finally got Raccoon to run with me for once. We ran along two sides of this grassy field and it was nice. XD
Green Basil for dinner at night. <3 Afterwards, the Canucks vs. Red Wings game at whichever-Place. Holy crap THEY LOST AGAIN. In the last minute of the third period, they were still tied. Then at LITERALLY THE LAST SECOND, 4:59, the other team scored. And WHY DOES EVERYONE IN PUBLIC STINK??? I already had a sore throat from my neighbour's bad breath (a Wings fan who let her baby kick and cry through the game) and Febreeze helped minimally. The second-hand smoke everywhere outside the stadium was worse. I almost threw up. Raccoon grabbed me a dark chocolate hot chocolate and we shared a lemon jam cookie on the way home. *= 3= Someone spilt orange crap on my hoodie and skirt, too, so I had to bleach them and do an entire load of whites, Jesus. =,=
On Friday, Raccoon brought me BIGZILLA after work hahaha. XDDD I left him at SFU for two days because he was too heavy to lug home, but I ended up lugging him all over downtown on Friday anyway... Everyone kept saying how good he looked and asking where I got him. XP We went to Canada House to see the human-sized Sumi and a bobsled thing. It was the best day everrr hahaha. My life is complete. :|
Okay I can't remember what we did after that. At some point we went to ... whatever-name Centre, and I got the WHEELCHAIR CURLING Sumi pin <3 and a keychain Sumi I named Crumbie. Even I think five Sumi (not including pins) is a bit excessive... Also hunted down the Quatchi keychain my brother and his wife asked us to buy.
My arms were sore for the next two days. Also found out I accidentally threw out my brand new pair of ballet tights (after only one wear!!!), having confused it with the holey pair. I ended up mending the old pair pretty well, though......
| Watched "Alice in Wonderland". As one reviewer said, there is really no point in seeing it in 3D... It was useful in exactly ONE scene. Not much but some gusts of smoke were 3D anyway, and the glasses are really nose-crushing. =_ = The plot was alright, the ending was not, though I was expecting the movie to suck anyway. Most of the costumes were beautiful but the Hatter is annoying, both as a character and asthetically... Helena Bonham Carter and the McFly/Willard guy acted well. The music is lousy so I don't know why they keep advertising the soundtrack everywhere.
Watched "Tron" because Raccoon's all excited about the sequel...... It's amusing but "Ghost in the Machine" is still better. ;P Jeff Bridges is also a lot more attractive old.

Had a fight with Raccoon on Friday over reusing/recycling paper cups. The two months of night shift finally ended but the boss tried to put me and Harry Osbourne on a new 1-9pm shift... We both sent complaining emails to him but mine worked (3 brief sentences that were basically "You said we'd be back on the day shift and 1-9 is an evening shift) and his didn't (3 long paragraphs that said he wasn't willing to do it but CAN do it). @@ So I stayed up on Friday to switch my sleeping hours back and went to bed around 6pm.
Around 7pm my mom and Raccoon were having trouble waking me to wake me through earplugs and a barrier of clothes around my door (to keep out the light). Apparently he came over with flowers. I couldn't tell they were narcissi and chrysanthemums until I woke up the next morning. ;B
The next day, we went to the Vancouver Art Gallery for the Da Vinci exhibit, and then wandered around a bit before delicious shrimp/scallops/basil/anchovy pizza at the best pizza place. Afterwards, we went to the flea market again hahah. It was a lot busier this time and so seemed less... dark and gross.
Then we had U-Grill at the mall because there wasn't enough time to go elsewhere. "Alice" was PACKED and the theatre smelt like sweat again. Good thing Raccoon got me a mini-bottle of Febreeze. =,= I had more Pringles at Raccoon's house... I think I've had about six cans over the week. It was starting to give me a stabby pain below the left ribcage...
I NOW HAVE SIX SEVEN TEACUP/SAUCER SETS HAHAH!! All are flowery and four are Royal Albert :D
| That movie I couldn't remember before was "A Serious Man". I didn't like it but it had funny moments.
The Chopin symphony last weekend was excruciating because I was tired, the man behind me kept talking and mouth-breathing (with horrible ashtray breath), and I guess my taste isn't cultivated enough for Chopin...

Before the symphony, I made Raccoon stop at Cafe Crepe because it was too much walking to the fancy pizza place. As it was, I'd entirely forgotten that's where Professor D. took me back in uni, until partway through the meal. And how upsetting it was at the time. It really is not pleasant to have professors hit on you, no matter how old/distinguished/learned they are, even though I'd forgotten that in the later years of uni. BLUGHGLHKLDHLKGH. The crepes were delicious at least (chicken + brie, dark chocolate + strawberries) but seemed far less authentic than any other crepe place... Raymond was working that day! But we didn't get to see him after the concert. I think it's nice that they're encouraging young people to attend the symphony, but the place is getting crowded and noisy, and filled with inappropriately dressed people. Track pants with purple crocs, what???
Since Raccoon broke his promise of not being tired and cranky after work last week, I weaseled him into getting something for me at the flea market hahaha. > 3< It's really a gloomy, gross place. Everything looks soiled and most of the people there are creepy... Raccoon got me three teacup/saucer sets in great condition, though. One with trillium (white x green), one with forget-me-nots (white x blue), and one with violets (white x purple). All my favourite colours and ROYAL ALBERT!!!!!! XPP For some reason, they were selling San Pelligrino Aranciata at the cafeteria... along with the scary hotdogs and dirty-looking drinks... so we had one. It was delicious. :]
I've been eating Pringles from Olympics German Haus all day for almost a week hahah. @@ I forgot which day it was that we went clothes shopping, but Raccoon ended up not getting anything for himself and we got me two dresses (both white x blue) and a skirt (white). XD;;;;;;
Raccoon had been a poop all week but we made up after the weekend. Stupid Raccoon, I hate and love you.
